Quickly Translate Text with Alfred

A nifty little feature that also made it’s debut in Alfred v1.1 was the ability to assign a global hot key that would summon Alfred and populate it with a keyword and the selected text (More on that here).

The Trick

In order to use this to translate some selected text (limit is 1000 characters) you just go over to the Hotkeys section, create a new global hotkey, assign a shortcut, tick Auto-populate…. and assign the keyword translate.

Now you can easily select some text, hit your hotkey, enter and you’re one step closer to demystifying what that strange text means.
