Alfred Custom Search and Kippt

Of the many bookmarking services available and that I’ve personally tried, one that I think will stick over time is Kippt. While it is still in it’s early stages and has yet much to improve, a clear sign that it will (and is on the right track) is that the developers actively listen and respond to their user’s suggestions and feedback. The response is invariably quick and personal. Therefore I would suggest you all try it out.

Now for a treat…

While the developers are already working on an API (so expect 3rd party integration soon) there is a quick and easy way of searching and accessing your Kippt content.

With our beloved Alfred’s Custom Search. It’s rather simple really.

Search Create a custom search. Keyword is up to you, I tend to go with ka, in the URL place:

https://kippt.com/search?q={query}

Access Lists Create a custom search. Keyword is up to you, I tend to go with kl, in the URL place:

https://kippt.com/#/lists/{query}

A note about lists. Kippt strips and space you may have in a name and replaces it with a dash so Cool Stuff would be cool-stuff

Give it a try. I’m sure you’ll love both!

Update Minor update to the search strings. Kippt now uses SSL.
